Hast Thou Not Seen?
The words for the title of this post and this blog come from my all-time favorite hymn, "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty." I think about this song a lot during the Thanksgiving season because it's a song of intense praise and acknowledgement of God's hand in our lives as well as his promises. It fills my soul when I think about all that God has done for me and the plan he has for each of this children, a plan that he has set up with the deepest love you can imagine. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths." These words ring so true to me, knowing that I can trust God has my best interest at heart, and that everything will turn out if I rely on him instead of my own finite understanding.
